Awesome time but.

Both bands were absolutely amazing. But first thing, the crowd had to stand in place waiting for over 40 minutes once the first band ended to Highly Suspect beginning. That is far too long to attendees wait, especially when the stage hands had everything done in 20 minutes. Nobody bothered to come on stage and give an update or even say "we'll begin shortly". Nothing. Just hundreds of people blankly staring at an empty stage for 40 minutes. My legs were killing me as I'm sure with everyone else! Secondly. The volume and sound of the opening band was perfect. Once Highly Suspect started it's like they turned the volume up 30 more notches. It was piercing to the ears and at times painful. Numerous people I saw plugging their ears including me. It was so painful and didn't allow us to enjoy the music like we wanted. My ears ached for two days afterwards. I love loud rock concerts but this was a little frustrating. The bands themselves were amazing. Please do better sound checks! A concert shouldn't be painful to the body or ears.
